Massage Therapy

Creative Wellness has a variety massage therapists on staff offering a wide range and style of massage therapies.

Our therapists are graduates of accredited schools and many are nationally certified by the NCBTBM -National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.  Most have graduated from massage therapy schools in the Mid-West. Others have come from as far as Europe.

Creative Wellness has a unique philosophy where we encourage you to explore different therapists and different modalities to help you achieve your goals. Each therapist is a unique person and has developed their own style and approach to bodywork. As you will read below, each therapist determines their own career path and decides which modalities to pursue for supplemental training and certification. We feel this is a great advantage for our clients.

Amanda

Amandagraduated from Irene's Myomassology Institute of Southfield in 2012, and began her massage career in Southeast Michigan before moving to the Greater Lansing area. She then joined the Creative Wellness team in 2013. Employing a therapeutic and healing approach to massage, she believes that massage allows her to positively connect with people as well as aid them in achieving a better quality of a life.  Since joining Creative Wellness, Amanda has undergone additional training in Thai Yoga Massage and offers this as an alternative to her other modalities which include Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, and Swedish Massage. In serving her clients, Amanda always seeks to create a calm space where individuals can receive both the therapeutic and relaxing benefits of massage.   In her free time, Amanda likes to walk her dog, play video games, read, and watch Netflix. She is also a big advocate for Yoga to help improve flexibility and balance, both physically and mentally. Amanda hopes you'll allow her to meet with you, assess how massage could improve your life and health, and apply her education and experience to give you the best possible experience.

Analise

Analise has an outgoing personality and she uses this trait to connect and learn about her clients lives and experiences to better help them maintain a healthy and comfortable life. It is said that the turtle symbolizes determination, persistence, emotional strength, and understanding and this is exactly why Analise’s spirit animal is the turtle. Analise has brought this caring, helpful and positive attitude to the Creative Wellness family since she joined us in January of 2011. After her best friend injured his back in a skiing accident, Analise helped comfort him by frequently massaging his neck and back. Her friend constantly raved about how effective her massages were, helping him cope with chronic neck and back pain, and this lead Analise to Lansing Community College where she enrolled in the therapeutic massage program. Analise graduated from the college in 2010 and has been helping clients live healthier lives ever since. Now Analise is known as a neck, back, and shoulder master as well as a nationally certified Ashiatsu practitioner and energy healer. Analise has future goals of teaching massage therapy and sharing her experiences and knowledge with the next generation of massage therapists. In her free time Analise enjoys kayaking, hiking, swimming in her pool and cuddling with her dogs.

Ann

Ann R. has been enlightening our clients at Creative Wellness since 1995, and we’ve been lucky to have her as one of our original massage therapists. Ann’s goal is to integrate therapeutic and clinical massage techniques with Energy modalities, according to the client’s needs in order to achieve optimal healing outcomes. She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Sienna Heights University, majoring in Massage with a minor in Biology. She is trained in Swedish, Myofascial, Neuromuscular Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Active Isolated Stretching, and Acupressure Massage. Additionally, she has certification in Reflexology, is a certified Esoteric Healer thru the National Association of Esoteric Healers, and is a Reiki Master.  It was because of her own healing experience with massage therapy for a shoulder injury that she was inspired to pursue a career in the field. She is passionate about the importance of the Mind/Body connection. Ann maintains a daily meditation practice and is also a musician and composer of music. She loves to swim in Michigan’s fresh water lakes and greatly enjoys gardening. It’s a wonderful thing to share ourselves with other people, and Ann has the ability to share herself with others in the most meaningful ways. Even the smallest interaction with Ann will leave you richer.

Anna

Anna is our special gift from Poland! Anna has been dedicated to serving the clients of Creative Wellness since 1997! It was in Poland where she gained valuable experience working as a Social Worker. During this time Anna became a master listener and this now allows her to give her massage clients a very personal experience. Listening to her clients' concerns and life experiences allow her to better serve them and help them improve their health. Knowing of Anna’s experience as a Social Worker and as a Massage Therapist, we know that she greatly enjoys working with people, helping them feel better physically and emotionally. Anna is enthusiastic about providing clients with health, relaxation, and wellness through Reiki (of which she is now a Reiki Master, the highest level of training to complete), Reflexology (of which she is a Certified Reflexologist), Esoteric Healing (having completed all levels of training), Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, Craniosacral therapy (Certified Level Two), and Manual Medicine Therapy, which she likes to incorporate with other modalities. Pregnancy Massage and Relaxation Massage are also skills Anna enjoys sharing with her clients. On a personal note, Anna truly enjoys reading, watching good movies, cooking, gardening, animals, traveling, spending time walking outside, and her love for people is inspiring! Even after a cloudy day, you’ll feel the sun shining after Anna treats you!

Kathleen an Advanced Certified Rolfer® and board certified Structural integrator, comes to us on Mondays from her office in Southfield.  She completed her training at the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration in Boulder, Colorado in 1987 and her advanced training with the Guild for Structural Integration in1993. In 1990, she met Richard Rossiter, creator of The Rossiter System, (TRS) a method of facilitated stretching which helps clients avoid carpal tunnel syndrome and other repetitive motion disorders. Through that system, a client can also avoid problems affecting shoulder, back, or knees. She became Richard’s first informal assistant. She has also completed Earle Timberlake’s “Somatic Release in Clinical Massage” and other massage courses. After graduation from University, she completed a law degree, practiced in the field of workers’ disability compensation, and experienced frustration at workers merely receiving monetary compensation, but not healing injuries.
